Ability is everywhere. Access is not.
I have spent my entire life around this game. As a coach, an educator, and a school counselor, I have stood on the sidelines and in the classroom watching talented young players slip through the cracks of a system that was never built for them.
Soccer in America promises opportunity, but too often it fails the players who need it most. The pay-to-play model prices out families who cannot afford travel fees, showcase tournaments, and private training. Talented kids get overlooked because they were born in the wrong zip code, could not afford the right club, or did not have anyone in their corner who knew how the recruiting process actually works.
I know this because I have lived inside it. As Director of Soccer at Bergen Community College, I led our program to a Region 19 Championship for the first time since 2016 and was named Region 19 Coach of the Year. As a high school counselor, I have spent years guiding students through the college admissions and recruiting maze, helping them find a path forward that they could not see on their own. I have coached players from kindergarten through the college level, and I have watched what happens when the right guidance meets real talent. Doors open that were supposed to stay shut.
That is why I founded NOVA Elite Player Pathways. I built it for the player in a small town with a big dream, for the family that does not know where to start, for the athlete from anywhere in the world who deserves a real shot. We connect student-athletes with college and professional opportunities through personalized recruiting, honest player development, and international pathways that treat every player as more than a highlight reel.
The beautiful game belongs to everyone. My mission is to make sure the next generation actually gets to play it — no matter where they come from.
